About the Recipe

These soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies are a timeless classic — crisp on the edges, gooey in the center, and loaded with rich chocolate in every bite. Perfect for gifting, parties, or late-night cravings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.


Step 2

Add the eggs and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.


Step 3

In a separate bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.


Step 4

Fold in the chocolate chips. Scoop dough onto a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 9–11 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
